We are a family-owned business. Everything we do or intend on doing stems from principles rooted in doing basic good for our community, our environment, for humankind. We want to minimize unnecessary suffering and help people heal and live life optimally, as much as we can.

The idea to provide Hyperbaric Oxygen Services indirectly began in December of 2020. In the midst of the pandemic, one of us caught the virus and effectively stopped sleeping once the virus’s symptoms halted. Dismissing the issue as a transient occurrence, “just a bad night’s sleep,“ he left it as is, thinking his sleep would return to great quality as he had his entire life. Months passed, sleep did not improve beyond 1 hour in length. He never had any psychological or physical problems. Seeing his health and daily lifestyle diminish considerably, he began to seek professional medical help. Appointment after appointment, test after test, one specialty after another, treatment after treatment - nothing would help his sleep go beyond 1 hour in length. Health deteriorated to such a level where a 20-minute walk would be too much to bear. His body lost its ability to heal almost entirely. Job was lost. Time with family and friends became hard to imagine. No matter how hard he tried to get better, every action that should have potentially made him better, made him far, far worse. He’s merely 30 years of age and had to start living as if he’s in his 90s battling an obscure disease.

Once it was more than 3 years into endless, sleepless suffering, with no doctors knowing anything about sleep problems beyond various breathing obstructions, he began to look into alternative, “rich-people” medical approaches. He stumbled upon Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy! At this point, he lost all hope that anything could work, but kept on trying anyway. After several sessions, he began to feel better for the first time in more than 3 years! It was a miracle! The only problem seemed to be the level of access to this kind of therapy in New York. It was definitely super expensive, with insurance not covering the costs for obscure health issues, and barely any places throughout the five boroughs.

This is where Halcyon Life came into existence. We decided to take matters into our own hands and start providing this amazing therapy to people ourselves.

Our ultimate goal is to eventually be able to provide this HBOT at lower prices to lower-income parts of the population.
